Joey Dunlop (MBE, OBE) Isle of Man TT legend celebrated.

To coincide with the launch of ‘ROAD’ a movie documentary, narrated by Hollywood actor Liam Neeson and this years’ highly anticipated Isle of Man TT races, TT legend Joey Dunlop will be celebrated in a unique way.

What do you get when you change a big, boring Motorcycle cover into something that just covers your essential bike bits – A ‘BIKEKINI®’ of course!

If you are a motorcycle racing fan, or an avid motorsport memorabilia fan, this is possibly
your best chance to own something dedicated to the legend whilst also supporting a worthy cause.

BIKEKINI® An innovative new British design brand, licensed by the Isle of Man TT organisers will be officially launched at the start of the Isle of Man TT festival 24th May, 2014.

When you finally take your bike on a trip, your bike cover generally sits at home in a heap on the floor. This new pocket sized cover travels with you. Made from tough but lightweight, arctic tent ripstop nylon and ballistic grade nylon fittings the sport model weighs in at just 150gms and fits into the palm of your hand when folded into its pouch. Designed to keep off the rain, sun / UV rays, city dust and unwanted people sitting on your pride & joy, these International Patent Pending covers lock to your bike for all round protection, in or out of your garage.

Perhaps the most unique design aspect however is the ability to personalize your own cover with graphics, images & text. Ideal for race teams, bike clubs, dealer showrooms or if you, yourself simply want to be different and stand out from the crowd…like a rainproof tattoo for your bike.

Exclusive for this summer’s Isle of Man TT races will be the limited edition Joey Dunlop commemorative cover. Bearing the unrivaled, 26 time TT winners signature and a unique artwork approved by the Joey Dunlop Foundation depicting Joey as a blur in his iconic yellow helmet. Just 1,000 covers will be made available for the global market, each one individually numbered and comes complete with a hologram certificate of authenticity, RFID tagging to cross reference ownership and shipped around the world for free.

Profits will go to the Joey Dunlop Foundation, established in 2001 as an Isle of Man Charity reg. #842 , whose main aim has always been to create specialist accommodation that will open up the Isle of Man to visitors with disability. The Joey Dunlop Disabled Holiday Home was formally opened on the 6th June 2010 by Linda Dunlop, Joey's widow, accompanied by current TT legend John McGuinness.

Interest in the Dunlop family racing legacy is likely to reach new heights when the movie is released. Joey died tragically in 2000 whilst racing in Estonia, his nephews Michael & William now compete at the highest levels in competitive motorcycle racing, their father Robert Dunlop, also died doing what he loved most, in Northern Ireland, in 2009, which demonstrates that motorcycle road racing is probably still the most dangerous of all motorsports.

Awareness of the TT races is also reaching new heights with high profile TV racing celebrities such as Guy Martin scraping their knees around the tiny island each summer and a renewed contract with North One TV (5th Gear, Gadget show, Ross Noble- Freewheeling) to broadcast the event around the world including a growing audience base in the USA.

Pre-orders for a very limited allocation of the covers can are available by emailing: info@bikekini.com or via the Joey Dunlop foundation website. Failing that the only way to buy one will be to attend this year’s Isle of Man TT in person and visit the BIKEKINI exhibition units, at the TT fan zone, at the Grandstand Douglas or at the MOTOFEST events to be held at Jurby Aerodrome.

The price per cover is just £60 ($100), with free international shipping

The Isle of Man TT festival runs from 24th May until 6th June 2014.
